'We Stand on the Shoulders of Giants'
Everytime I read these words I get shivers, why? Because we do and best not forget it!
Satoshi disappeared into obscurity so that humanity may take another chance at regaining its monetary freedom. This idea that humans can be incentivized for long term vision through a hard money fascinated me. Being a curious kid I always wondered why our money was worth less and less and why we didn’t change this. In late 2016 I found bitcoin and immediately I understood this was our chance. We can take this back, we can truly fix time theft for our future generations; no longer being slaves to a small group of cold insecure fools who control the world through a series of tricks and schemes.
'The Central bankers are magicians and fiat is the rabbit they pulled from their hat'
Why fun with bitcoin? It seems this is a very serious topic. Money, freedom, time, value, these are boring right? These are complicated boring topics that we slept through in school, right?... Exactly right and so we did what the system taught us to do. Leave it to the experts, leave it to someone who 'understands'; We did what 'they said we gave them the keys, they robbed us of our futures. Bitcoin allows us to take it back. Money can be fun, and bitcoin shows us this with the perfect marriage of incentives, predictable monetary policy, technology and philosophy. If anything bitcoin shows us how boring and dull money was made so we wouldn’t pay attention. Our eyes are open, the rabbit is out of the hat.
I started producing bitcoin related material from the perspective of someone technical that doesn’t always want to be listening to something technical. I want to know the 'why' someone got into bitcoin. The stories of us is the story of bitcoin; we want the aha moments; we want to know the experiences that made people stop and say; this system of money is wrong and I am being robbed by virtue of participating in this system. We want to know the thinkers behind the thoughts.
